Supply Market Intelligence Index Collection Mid-Year 2017 Update

In the past six months new indices have been added to the Supply Market Intelligence collection and others have been weeded out. Here are indices, mostly open access, new to the collection:

Contingent Labor and Workforce

The PayScale Index: Trends in Compensation
The PayScale Index follows the change in wages of employed U.S. workers, revealing trends in compensation for jobs over time. It specifically measures the quarterly change in the total cash compensation of full-time, private industry employees and education professionals nationally, with additional detail on the 31 largest metropolitan areas, 12 industries, 19 job categories and three company sizes.

Country and Geopolitical Risk

A.T. Kearney Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index
The A.T. Kearney Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index (FDI) is an annual survey of global business executives that ranks which markets are likely to attract the most investment in the next three years.

The Global Innovation Index
The Global Innovation Index provides detailed metrics about the innovation performance of 127 countries and economies around the world. Its 81 indicators explore a broad vision of innovation, including political environment, education, infrastructure and business sophistication.

ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) Open Markets Index
The Index scores 75 countries on a scale of one to six on four key factors: observed trade openness, trade policy, openness to foreign direct investment and trade-enabling infrastructure. In doing so, the Index also monitors government follow through on longstanding G20 commitments to boost global trade flows.

Open Company Data Index
The Open Company Data Index was first conceived for the Open Government Partnership meeting in Brasilia in 2012, as a way of examining how open core company data is around the world. The Index is now being maintained by OpenCorporates, in partnership with the World Bank Institute through its Open and Collaborative Private Sector initiative, to track and visualize how open corporate data is around the world.

Pharma

Access to Medicine Index
The Index analyses 20 of the world’s largest research-based pharmaceutical companies on how they make medicines, vaccines and diagnostics more accessible in low- and middle-income countries.

Global Pharma Market Ranking Index
CPhI Worldwide is conducting an extensive survey of international pharmaceutical companies and executives to rank the most prominent pharma countries. The  survey has been sent to over 100,000 pharmaceutical professionals globally and will evaluate the relative international reputations of all of the major pharmaceutical economies. CPhI is encouraging all to contribute and the results will be available on the CPhI Pharma Insights webpage.

Pharmaceutical Innovation Index (PII) 
The PII aims at ranking companies in their ability to bring products from Phase I/II to market and commercialize them successfully, and utilizes a range of clinical, regulatory and commercial metrics to do this, ranging from the corporate level down to individual products.
