Here are indices that have been added to the Supply Market Intelligence Index collection so far this year.

Indices serve a useful purpose in supply market intelligent research as they provide data measurement benchmarks for price fluctuations, quantity and production of goods and services, worldwide economies, as well as indicating geopolitical, environmental, and supplier risk intensity.

The Hayes Global Skills Index
The Hays Global Skills Index is a comprehensive overview of the professional global labour market and offers insights into the challenges faced by organizations as they search for the most sought-after skilled talent.

Country and Geopolitical Risk

Bloomberg Innovation Index – Summary
The Bloomberg Innovation Index indicates the world’s most innovative economies by analyzing “dozens of criteria using seven metrics, including research and development spending, manufacturing capability and concentration of high-tech public companies.”

Digital Economy and Society Index
The Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) is a composite index that summarises relevant indicators on Europe’s digital performance and tracks the evolution of EU member states in digital competitiveness.

Global Food Security Risk (GFSI)
The Global Food Security Index considers the core issues of affordability, availability, and quality across a set of 113 countries and now includes an adjustment factor on natural resources and resilience.

Marketplace Expansion Index
The 2019 Marketplace Expansion Index was developed to assist digital marketplace platforms operating in the collaborative, gig, and sharing economies gauge the expansion readiness of 36 countries.

OECD Gender Index
The OECD Development Centre’s Social Institutions and Gender Index (SIGI) is a cross-country measure of discrimination against women in social institutions (formal and informal laws, social norms, and practices) across 180 countries.

Housing Market Index
The Housing Market Index (HMI) is based on a monthly survey of NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) members designed to take the pulse of the single-family housing market.

Environmental Risk, Including Climate

Climate Change Performance Index (CPPI)
The CCPI is an independent monitoring tool of countries’ climate protection performance. It aims to enhance transparency in international climate politics and enables the comparability of climate protection efforts and progress made by individual countries.

Information Technology

AI Index
The AI Index is a starting point for informed conversations about progress in artificial intelligence. The AI Index Report is broken into 4 large sections: Volume of Activity, Technical Performance, Derivative Measures, and Towards Human Performance.

Logistics and Transportation

Drewry Port Throughput Indices
The Drewry Container Port Throughput Indices are a series of volume growth/decline indices based on monthly throughput data for a sample of over 220 ports worldwide, representing over 75% of global volumes.

Freightos Baltic Index (FBX)
The FBX is an international Freight Rate Index, in cooperation with the Baltic Exchange. It currently provides indices for ocean freight with plans to introduce air freight rate indices the near future.

OESA Automotive Supplier Barometer
The OESA Automotive Supplier Barometer captures the pulse and analyzes the twelve month business sentiments of top executives in the supplier industry. It is a snapshot of their concerns on commercial issues, the business environment and strategies that influence the supplier industry.

Procurement and Supply Chain

Supply Chain Index
The Supply Chain Index is a ranking of supply chain improvement within an industry peer group based on the calculation of three factors – balance, strength, and resiliency – on four metrics: growth, operating margin, inventory turns, and return on investment capital.
