Enterprise Buyers and How They Research New Software

Susan Scrupski, writing for Enterprise Irregulars, was curious about “what role ‘social’ plays in researching software.” Responses from an inquiry she made to billion dollar companies indicated “that blogs, social networks (from Twitter to LinkedIn) and online forums weighed heavily in their initial research and opinion formation process.” Not surprisingly, research analysts such as Gartner, Forrester and IDC are still the first go to sources for large enterprise software implementation.
